10 DAY CULTURE AND WILDLIFE UGANDA SAFARI
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Uganda Wildlife Education Center
On arrival, meet and greet your guide who will then transfer you to Uganda Wildlife Education Center for overnight. If time permits, take a self-guided tour around the Education Center. Overnight at UWEC Bandas on bed and Breakfast basis.
Day 02: Cultural Visit to Uganda Museum
After breakfast, you will be driven to Uganda Museum which has the largest concentration of ethnographic collections in the whole of Africa. You will spend 4-5 hours exploring the several sections of the museum that include, Ethnography, Ethno-History, Musicology, Natural history of East Africa, Independence Pavilion and Paleontology. These sections are a reminder of Uganda’s beautiful past and with definitely provide you with a clue of what to expect the next day as cultural materials of different ethnic groupings are represented. Enjoy your lunch and retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Community and cultural tour to Western Uganda.
After your breakfast, you will head Southwestwards to Mbarara with stopovers at Mpambire Royal Drum makers for demonstrations on how these drums are made. This practice of making drums is so historical that it has been passed on from generation to generation. Our next stop will be the equator for stretching, photography and it time allows, simple experiments can be performed to demonstrate that indeed the Equator is an imaginary line separating the world into two equal parts. We will drive to Mbarara past Lake Mburo National Park for a lunch break at Igongo Cultural centre. Igongo Cultural center houses some ethnographic and cultural related collections of the ‘Banyankole’ ethnic group of Southwestern Uganda. From Uganda Museum to Igongo cultural center, you will be tracing the heritage, way of life of Ugandans before you actually interact with them. Dinner and overnight in Mbarara

Day 04: A day in a life of a herdsman
After breakfast, you will head to Nyabushozi to spend some time with herdsmen. This region is popularly known for its famous Ankole Long Horned cattle which are believed to have been introduced by the Chwezi demi-gods. You will participate in one or more activities that you so wish. These may include, milking, grazing or taking these cows to the well for water. While the men are grazing, the women stay at home to make cow gee, yogurt and the rest of the housework. You too can participate or observe how these products are made locally. We will enjoy our packed lunch continue with our activities until dinner and overnight. Camping is possible or we will return to Mbarara town.

Day 05: Kitagata Hot spring
After breakfast and at your leisure time, you will be driven to Bushenyi district which has been divided into 5 new districts. You will drive past banana coffee and tea plantations. Enjoy your lunch, relax a bit and then transfer to Ekitagata Hot spring. This hot spring attracts so many people from within Uganda, Rwanda and Congo to mention but a few as it is believed to cure skin diseases, and so many diseases. You will be surprised by the attachment people have for this place as its importance in terms of treating diseases is concerned. Share your experience and interact with the locals before we retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 06: A day in a life of a Cultivator.
While we visited herdsmen on our second day, today we will visit some farmers who depend on tilling land and planting crops for survival. The day usually starts at 6:30 am with some members or the whole family going to their gardens. Breakfast is served at around 10:00 am and then they return back home at around lunch time. You may participate or observe what takes place and in turn, these farmers will help you identify different species of bananas. If we find ripe ones, then they will prepare some juice out of these bananas and if you so like taste it. We may choose to roast or cook Matooke for your lunch. These cultivators have a lot of knowledge in as far as using indigenous skills for survival are concerned. Retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 07: Rukararwe Cultural and Healing Center
Day 08: Wedding day
Weddings in Uganda are usually organized on Saturday and therefore this activity may be moved around to fit the dates and particular days. It may be at the start, middle or end and will depend on availability at the time of booking. This is a must see as traditional marriage ceremonies are still important in as far as tradition and culture is concerned. We will spend a whole day attending this party, of course lunch will be served at the party before returning back to your residence with an African wedding day memories.

Day 09: Volunteer day.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to our supported project so that you spend some time with the children. As part of our social responsibility, we make sure that part of efforts are returned to supporting a local community cause and in our case we support Kabushaho and Bumbaire primary school all in Bushenyi District. Spend sometimes with children, teach them your skills, give them hope and in turn, they will sing for you. Your visit would have restored hope in the life of an African Child. Share lunch with them and later return to your residence for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park visit
An early start will see us arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive and later after lunch, go for a boat trip on Kazinga Channel. This is one of the highlight of visiting this park as on this boat, you have chances of spotting several animals such as elephants, buffaloes, crocodile, birds and so many others and it has the highest concentration of crocodile in the whole world. Return to your residence for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: End of your Community tour
After breakfast and depending on your flight details, we will depart for Kampala with several stopovers for lunch and later head straight to Entebbe International Airport. Should you prefer to stay another night in Uganda, then inform us in time so that we book you an optional extra night for you (Not included in the cost).
