10 Days African Yoga Safari Retreat – The best Uganda has to offer!
Day 1; Arrival
You will be welcomed by our company representative upon your arrival at Entebbe airport and transferred to the Lodge where you will unwind, dinner and overnight stay at your booked accommodation in Kampala.
Day 2; Transfer to Murchison falls National Park/ Ziwa sanctuary.
You will enjoy morning breakfast and drive to Ziwa Sanctuary to see the Rhinos before proceeding to Murchison falls national park. It will take you around 5 hours from Kampala with about 305 km.
Day 3; Game drive, launch cruise & Evening yoga – Murchison Falls
Early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. You will drive back to the lodge where you will have your dinner and get prepared for your first yoga training.
Day 4; Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have breakfast and then drive to the top of the falls before having along drive to Kibale forest National park home of Chimpanzees. This is a full day drive. You will have lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight stay at your booked Lodge.
Day 5; Chimpanzee trekking & afternoon yoga lesson- Kibale forest National park.
Take early morning breakfast and go for briefing and start chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.
After trekking you will have lunch and then prepare for your after lunch yoga lessons.
Day 6; Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & evening Yoga .
You will have breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive well in time for lunch. Enjoy your lunch and unwind at your lodge or embark on your evening yoga lessons before having Dinner and overnight at your Lodge .
Day 7; Game drive and launch cruise- Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will go for early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, you may spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, in the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various water birds. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
Day 8; Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park & pre Gorilla yoga lessons
After having your morning breakfast, you will set off for Bwindi passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park where you may spot some tree climbing lions. You will have lunch en-route (packed lunch). After your arrival, you will prepare for your pre golilla yoga lessons to enable you get prepared for the next days’ gorilla trekking experience.
Dinner and overnight at your Booked Lodge.
Day 9; Gorilla trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable National park
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing and go for gorilla trekking, this could take 4-6 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. After trekking, return for dinner and overnight as above
Dinner and overnight at your booked Lodge
Day 10; Transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe
You will have an early breakfast and have the last yoga lesssons before starting our long drive to Entebbe airport for your flight back home with fond memories of this 10 Day African Yoga Safari Retreat.!
