Queen Elizabeth National Park located in Western Uganda is one of the many beautiful places in Uganda, accessible and easily connects to Bwindi impenetrable, Kibale Forest, and Rwenzori national parks. The savanna park is bounded by Ishasha River and L. Edward in the west, in the North by Rwenzori Mountains and in the east by L. George, Kyambura Gorge and Kalinzu forest reserve. The park also boosts of an extensive Maramagambo forest in the south east, at least 10 crater lakes, over 95 mammal species including 20 predators, 10 primates, various antelope species

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to QENP. Through Lake Mburo.

On this day, you will start your safari very early in the morning. Your driver guide will pick you up from your accommodation and quickly brief you about the safari. You will the start your safari, have your breakfast en-route at Kayabwe where you will later enjoy an Equator experience before continuing to L. Mburo National park. Within two hours you will be at L. Mburo National park to catch the mid – morning game drive. L. Mburo is the easiest accessed park which can be accessed within 3 hours from Kampala. It can be accessed on your way to queen Elizabeth in one day and also to Bwindi or Rwenzori and yet it boosts or rare species like the Burchell’s Zebra, Impala, topi, Duiker, A Big population of buffalos, oribi, Hippopotamus, Sitatungas antelopes, klipspringer, varvet monkeys and baboons, leopards, side stripped jackals and many smaller animals. You will then drive through the beautiful sceneries of Rwenzori mountain ranges reaching the park in the evening. You will then check in and have your dinner. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today, you will have your breakfast very early in the morning and catch the early morning game drive to Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth, on this game drive you will see most of the 95 mammals of the park including the Lions, leopards, side stripped Jackals, spotted Hyenas, you will see Vrious antelope species including the Kob, Bush buck, Topi, Deffesa’s water buck, Elusive semi – aquatic Sitatungas and other big game like Buffallos , elephants, warthogs, and many other smaller animals. Visit Bunyampaka salt lake and Kasenyi fishing community on the showers of Lake George. Later you will transfer to Mweya Peninsular for lunch, driving through Katwe explosion crater drive and Kabatoro gate. After lunch we will go for Kazinga channel boat cruise. Here you will see plenty of birds, Hippos playing with water, big crocodiles, and herds of buffalos and elephants playing in water.

Day 3: Kyambura gorge and Kampala/Entebbe

Today, you will wake up early enough, have your breakfast and head to Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee tracking. Kyambura Gorge protects one of the largest chimpanzees’ populations in East Africa. And by 8:00hrs you will start tracking the amazing beings. You will track them go through their exciting amazing daily routines, play, and feed their young ones. It’s an amazing experience. In addition you will see olive baboons and black and white colobus monkeys and pretty of colored butterflies. After this you will have your lunch and start your journey back to Kampala.
