Day 1: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
There will be an early morning pick-up from your place of stay (at 7:00am) after your breakfast and this will be accompanied by a briefing on the 6 days Uganda Primates and Wildlife Tour. This briefing will also involve providing information on the destinations that will be visited and later start your 6 hours’ drive to Kibale Forest National Park.
Have your first stop at Nakayima Tree in Mubende Hill (Mubende district) to learn about the significance of this Centuries-old tree (about 600 years). Continue with the journey while enjoying spectacular views of the huge Mubende rocks and hills and tea plantations of Toro and have another stop at Fort Portal Town (for lunch). On arriving Kibale Forest National Park, you won’t enter the Park but instead head to the Bigodi wetland Sanctuary at a stone throw away.
Have a guided 2-3 hours’ nature walk along the wetland Sanctuary spotting some of the primate species in the wetland such as the grey-cheeked mangabeys, black and white colobus monkeys and the L’Hoests monkeys among others in addition to the wetland bird species such as papyrus gonolek and the great blue Turacos among others. Leave the site and check-in at the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and be briefed on chimpanzee trekking guidelines at the Park Headquarters. In the company of fellow trekkers, experienced ranger and porters follow the chimpanzee trails for 1-3 hours to locate the chimpanzees that will be found swinging on tree branches, feeding, breastfeeding (for mothers), mating, resting or playing on the ground. Spend one hour studying their extraordinary characteristics and taking photos and later return to the Lodge for lunch.
Have a hot meal of African or international cuisines and check-out of the Lodge for a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This journey takes 3-4 hours and arrival is in the evening to freshen-up, have dinner and rest.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Day 3 of the 6 days Uganda Primates and Wildlife Tour will begin with breakfast at 6:00am and 6:30am to start the game drive because it is the perfect time for seeing the early risers such as lions, leopards, Uganda Kobs, spotted hyenas, elephants and buffaloes. Continue encountering more wildlife species such as the warthogs, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, common elands and Topis as well as several species of birds. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon (2:00pm) go for the 2 hours’ launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel (a 32-long natural channel that connects Lakes Edward and George) where your breath will be taken by how close you will come with the Hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes as well as the interesting bird species. Also, other wildlife species such as buffaloes, bushbucks, Uganda Kobs and warthogs are found within the Ishasha sector. Proceed with your wildlife-filled journey and have lunch at Savannah Resort and arrive Bwindi in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Get your trekking gear and move/be driven to the Park Headquarters for briefing on how to conduct oneself and what to expect while trekking or when in the presence of the Mountain gorillas.
At 8:00am start your trek in the company of other 7 trekkers, porters and ranger/guides and after 1-4 hours of trekking, you will be ushered to a friendly and welcoming gorilla family comprising of silverback, possibly other silverbacks, blackbacks, females, juveniles and infants to spend one hour taking photos and taking information provided by the guide. Return to the Lodge for Lunch.
If you still feel energetic or if there is still time, head for a community walk within the nearby Batwa villages. Learn about how they live their daily lives without the luxury of having piped water, electricity and even be entertained in some of their exciting cultural dances. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
