Detailed itinerary of the 6 Days Uganda Wildlife and Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and wait to be picked by our Company driver from the agreed meeting point for a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En-route stop at the Uganda Equator for 30 minutes to take photos, buy snacks, have coffee and participate in some of the organized Equator experiments. Continue with the journey until Agip Motel in Mbarara for lunch and straight to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the vast tea plantations of Bushenyi where you will notice a change in temperature (cooler and more relaxing). Reach the Park in the late afternoon and immediately start your game drive where you will see elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs and warthogs among others. Later check-in at the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and afternoon boat cruise
Have a cup of tea and coffee and thereafter meet your safari guide who will transfer you to the Kyambura Gorge while spotting more wildlife species and this depends on the location of the Lodge from the briefing point. While here, UWA Park ranger will take you through the guidelines of tracking and meeting the chimpanzee, and then enter the narrow forest in-search of the Chimpanzee community that will be found after 1-2 hours of tracking. You will come across other inhabitants of the gorge during tracking and once the chimpanzee are found, spend one hour studying their physical and behavioral characteristics while taking photos and later return to the Lodge for Lunch.
In the afternoon head for a more relaxing activity-Boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where extraordinary views of wildlife and bird species are expected. Later return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Make sure to wake up early for breakfast and by 7:00am check-out of the Lodge for a drive through the Park, towards the southern side-Ishasha sector to catch-up with the extraordinary tree climbing lions as well as other animals such as buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, bushbucks and Defassa waterbucks. Leave for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with lunch at Savannah Resort and arrive in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking and community walk
Mountain gorilla trekking is the highlight of your 6 days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari and is the day you have been waiting for. Have breakfast and head to Buhoma Park Headquarters for briefing on how to track and be around the giant apes. Set out into the jungles to trek the mountain gorillas, which will last for 1-4 hours along the thick, sometimes muddy/slippery and hilly elevations. On encountering the mountain gorillas, spend the allocated one hour and later return to the Park Headquarters for your trekking certificate and back to the Lodge for lunch.
In the evening have a community walk to explore the fascinating culture and lifestyle of the surrounding local community and return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
