WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY GORILLA PERMIT/TOUR?
You are advised to book your gorilla permit at least five months in advance due to shortage most especially during high season. Please contact us with the date when you intend to trek and we will advise availability of permits on that day.
You can book gorilla permits in Uganda and Rwanda for 2022-2023 with Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) at cost of $700 USD, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) issues the gorilla permits at cost of $1500 USD. in Congo gorilla trekking permits costs $400 Usd, only that currently there is a war in DRC, and gorilla trekking activities cannot be done.
High gorilla trekking seasons in Uganda are June, July, August, September and early November and then December, January and February. Gorilla permits tend to be very scarce and if you intend to trek gorillas during this month, you need to book them way back in advance. Uganda. Gorilla permits can be obtained from Uganda Wildlife Authority Head Offices in Kampala just after Uganda Museum on Kiira Road. Every day, UWA sells gorilla permits for all gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga.
Offices are always open from 9:00am to 5:00pm in the evening.
